| Krešimir
Restaurant is located in the very town centre of Senj in the
immediate vicinity of the bus terminal and the Nehaj Hotel only
20 meters away from the sea above the Adriatic Highway. It has
two large dining halls, an indoor one and an open terrace with
120 seats each.
The present-day Krešimir Restaurant has played
a special role in the history of Senj being a catering facility
that has for many decades been at the service of the local citizens,
chance travellers and tourists. Many older people still remember
with nostalgia how they used to sit on the terrace of the Krešimir
in an idyllic ambience overlooking the sea, drinking their first
morning coffee. Many also remember the fancy-dress balls that
have for many years been taking place in the same location.
The terrace of the Krešimir commands a stunning
view throughout the year, but the view is probably the most beautiful
in the early summer evenings when the sun is setting and a gentle
breeze brings the scent of the sea. Dining in such an ambience
makes the pleasure of meal-time complete. During the summer the
guests may enjoy listening and dancing to live music on the terrace
Krešimir Restaurant has been completely reconstructed
and modernised and it reopened its doors in the spring of 2003.
The photographs of the reopening ceremony may be viewed in our
photo gallery. Krešimir now has a large, new kitchen fitted with
state-of-the-art equipment that meets the highest technical and
sanitary standards, guaranteeing a high level of service to the
mutual satisfaction of the restaurant staff and our guests. The
restaurant's chef has been selected with special care, while
other staff mostly consists of the members of the Lopac family,
which is an additional guarantee of the quality of service.
The Krešimir offers a wide selection of dishes
and an extensive wine list, which are sure to satisfy the tastes
and wishes of every guest. Our selection of dishes and wines
can be viewed in the Culinary Offer and the Wine List. For all
lovers of pizzas and roasts we should like to stress that they
are prepared in a real baker's oven.
The restaurant is open daily throughout the year.
The terrace, which is open from spring to autumn, is closed in
winter due to bad weather conditions. The Krešimir can be accessed
by car from the Adriatic Highway and has a large car park close
by.
